This May, after our high season, one of our managers will be given the task of identifying a candidate to run a small business generating a net revenue of just $500 per month.  While this might seem like a trivial sum, it’s a substantial improvement over what many people make.  Our job is to identify those who do not lack the drive or desire, but instead exist in a situation which does not allow them access to capital or the practical knowledge to maintain a small business.

In Latin America, there might not be opportunity to make big money easily, but there are opportunities to make a solid living wage everywhere if you can overcome the obstacles.  By dedicating six months and one of our best people to the training of a candidate in the practical necessities of running a small business – starting with the very basics of cash management and focusing on reasonable goals.  Combined with the knowledge acquisition skills we are all so fortunate to have through Google and the world wide web, we are confident that we can overcome any gaps in industry specific knowledge for such small and simple businesses.

Your funding directly provides the living expenses of our ‘trainer’ as well as up to $6,000 for start up materials without any debt obligations – putting the candidate well on their way to a new life where they have the ability to create their own positive lifestyle.  Upon completion of the six month training, we will continue to provide support in any way possible, maintaining contact and building awareness through our website and providing the titles to all purchased capital when the candidate is able to include two employees in their business.  In this way we eliminate the risk of immediate sale for short term gain and try and plant seeds which will grow and effect the communities around them.

Thank you so much for helping make this possible and we look forward to sharing our stories of success with you in the near future. Please check back to our Charity Blog to see how your support and our efforts progress.
