While I realize everyone is packing up their Christmas decorations and casting away brown pine trees, I have one last post aimed to cap off the holiday season.

We all knew it was coming.
The U.S. airport security organization TSA made travel headlines around the world by instituting full-body scans and pat-downs a month ago, and now the consumer market has its response—just in time for the holiday season, of course.
As far as I’m aware there may be nothing to take the edge off an awkward cavity search, but my favorite blog, Matador Travel, published the answers three companies have come up with to the outcry of fliers unwilling to see their goodies etched in magnetic detail on x-ray screens.
US-based company Rock Flats gear has reappropriated the fig leaves that preserved the modesty of classic Greek and Roman statues with a garments sporting strategically placed foliage to do the same for the modern traveler. The companies full line includes products like the “Men’s Privacy Brief” and the “Women’s Flying Pantie” and aims to do more than keep travelers from blushing, claiming also that the radiation stopping material protects the wearer from the potentially harmful effects of exposure—which, if that’s true, makes the “Brief Ovary Protector” a steal at $24.42.
Rather than block intrusive rays, artist Mike McQuade constructed a careful message in magnetic ink that will appear across your chest (or behind) the next time a TSA agent sneaks a peak under your clothes.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons … against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Ok, well the Fourth Amendment isn’t in his own words but the alternate command “Read the 4th Amendment, perverts” certainly is.
Finally, pasties aren’t just for Lil’ Kim and Super Bowl scandals anymore, since FlyingPasties rolled out their new protective decals. Reusable and adhesive-less (thank god); not much else to say.
