Asado. If you don’t know it, get to know it. If you haven’t experienced it, light that fire. If you’re anything like me, find as many friends as possible, bring a handful of firewood and get ready to cook!

Now that the evenings are cool and the days are still beautiful, March has been a month of fire roasted meat, potatoes, cervezas, meat, picture taking, meat, cervezas, friend making and more meat. It’s been perfect weather, the group of people we’ve got are great, and everyone is hanging out together over breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The asados have been real great in not only feeding masses of people, but it has also brought out the musician in many as guitars and songs inevitably follow a few beers, chorizos and steaks.

And now for your enjoyment, from a better mind than my own, please enjoy this Ode to Asado written by Christián on his blog, El Tuerto

Asado.
Un día me matarás
Una vez por todas
Las que te he matado yo.
