Lazy Sunday afternoon

Another wet day here in Punta del Diablo, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. This quiet day also marks the end of an Era, Bitacora – the dance club/barn party up in the woods above the hostel – closed their season last night with a bang, and the remnants of that final bash are visible on the faces of just about every guest and employee here. Now we get back to my personal favorite time of year, everything moves just a little bit slower, and the feeling of family is pervasive. The middle seasons of Spring and Fall are cozy and magical here and I’m looking forward to more lazy days, more movies with guests, more card games and more delicious meals around the big table down in the bar.
