Carnaval del Diablo

Hola desde la recepcion,

Punta del Diablo is back in the swing of things again.  A busy centro, mate on the beach, and energy in the air can only mean one thing…CARNAVAL! And what better to do for carnaval than dance. Tonight’s plan: dinner and drinks at El Diablo Tranquilo Bar and then off to rub elbows with Punta del Diablo’s finest at Bitacora.

Here at El Diablo Tranquilo Playa suites, there is a good mix of travelers from Canada to South Africa. One of the best parts about the mix of guests is the amount of information that is shared between backpackers. Today the stories I have heard include adventures in China hiking the Great Wall and backpacking, cow farts causing holes in the Uruguayan ozone layer, and seasick ferry rides. Even the strong sun and rough seas which could have dampened a vacation lead to a good laugh due to the upbeat carnaval atmosphere. As of now, the story is the same as usual: sun, beach, and good waves.

Hasta la proxima,

Jarrí
